Rabbits Vocalizing

Someone here posted that rabbits have no vocal cords. If that is true, then
how does Biskit make the cute noises when he's wrapped in his comforter
watching TV? I do hear some funky sounds sometimes like he's trying to blow
air through his nostrils (maybe he is a reincarnated whale?) but other than
that, if the vocal cords post is correct, how does he do it?

By rubbing his teeth together real
fast my Bucky sounds like a bumble
bee and you can hear him across the
room when he does it.

Sasha used to squawk like a parrot
by forcing air through her wind pipe.
And, she was very very loud about it
when she got into those rare mad moments.

Mouse grunts and so did Jackie.

Patches buzzes and grunts and
Junior is a good buzzer when he does it.

Maybe that's what it is, a grunt of some type. It's not a tooth noise
because I know those. Or maybe it is the windpipe trick. Is it true then
that they really don't have any type of vocalizing device?

that's not fair! they're such sweet and smart animals! I know lots of
people who would be better off with no vocal cords!

My Honey makes little squeaking noises while grooming herself sometimes.

Also, doesn't screaming require vocal chords? Because rabbits can scream.

No idea...
Both my bunnies are VERY vocal, as was Midnight.
I remember the first time Midi "talked" to me. I was laying on the floor and
he was laying over my arm, squashed up again my side, he was getting a mega
petting session and started to grunt loudly and regularly, it was very
strange... he had actually fallen asleep (as had the arm he was laying
on...)
I am not sure where the sound came from... but, it was sure cute!

Rabbits do make several sounds, from the bood curdling scream that no one wants
to hear, to clucking like a chicken, and everyones fav sound ~ the very quiet
nnnnnnnn, nnnnnnnn, nnnnnnnnnn, nnnnnnn sound of a happy bunny talking to you
:)

There is also the happy tooth chatter, the pain tooth grind, and the dreaded
squawk that you get when steping back onto a bunny that you checked was no
where in the area .001 seconds before steping back :(

What do you do when you see an endangered animal eating an endangered plant?

Is there another word for synonym?

Really? No vocal cords? Max makes noise all the time. Mostly gunie pig
noises when he's grooming himself.

I tried to pick up Munchkin once when she didn't want to be picked up
and she let out a shriek that scared my wife two rooms away. Sure
sounded like vocal cords to me.
