I'm looking for a Flemish Giant breeder in NYC.

Most of the rabbits I've owned in the past have been bought from
big-name pet stores. For the most part they turned out ok(except for
Vince who used to attack anyone who wasn't me :p).
After my last rabbit died about a year or two back, I thought I'd take
a break from pets for a while. Fast forward to near present, I really
found that since I've been taking care of pets ever since I was about
nine, I really miss not having them around and it's like some void has
been created.

I decided to get another rabbit, but having owned a ton of different
breeds at one point, I figured this time around I look into getting a
Flemish Giant as I've never had a rabbit in that size class before and
because of their size they seem to be one of the more challenging
breeds.
Before I try to get one through a pet store, I thought I would go
through the breeder route this time around. The only problem is, I
can't seem to find any breeders in my area(within the five boroughs of
NYC). I've checked several breeder directories, but haven't found
anything. Maybe there's no breeders in NYC because of all the city
noise?

So if you know of any or want to help me search, please post any info
you have here or drop me a line at ***@aol.com.

-THANKS:D

I know people in the Long Island Rabbit Breeders Assoc. They have the
Giants. You will need a car to get there.

Flemish Giants are a short lived, flawed breed. They were originally
bred for food. Nhu had one and lost him after a very short time. She
was crushed. He was gorgeous. My vet does not recommend them either.

Adopting a rabbit that comes from a shelter is also a challenge. All
things considered, If you still want one, I can give you a connection to
a "reliable" breeder. You will need a car to get there.
